Accommodations and things to do . . .
Purdon's Cottages has six cabins to choose from. Each has a screened-in porch, a large kitchen and dining area, fridge and stove. Pots and utensils are provided. There is no indoor plumbing, but there is a private outdoor washroom facility for each cabin. Please bring your own bedding. Wood burning stoves for heat as required (firewood provided)
Patterson Lake is a natural spring feed lake measuring 2.5 miles in length. The lake has several islands that are free to use for swimming or picnics. Take your time to explore our 500 acres of woodland. Be sure to visit the Purdon Conservation Area just down the road for a unique stroll through the board-walk bog which is home to 16000 Showy Lady Slipper Orchids. The best time to see in full bloom is in late June early July.

Fishing in Patterson Lake for Smallmouth Bass, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Yellow Perch, Northern Pike, Rock Bass, Common White Sucker, Pumpkinseed (sunfish).
The General Store in McDonalds Corners has a large assortment of supplies, Fishing licences, bait and souvenirs. For fine dining or a evening of entertainment, check out the Dalhousie Lake Restaurant and bar. Choose from three near by golf courses and a trout pond.
